Requires NJT to temporarily adopt reduced fare schedule on Raritan Valley Line.

An Act concerning temporary fare reductions on the Raritan Valley Line.
Be It Enacted by the Senate and General Assembly of the State of New Jersey:
1. Notwithstanding the provisions of any other law to the contrary, the Executive Director of the New Jersey Transit Corporation shall reduce fares for rail passes and tickets for the Raritan Valley Line with an origin or destination of New York Pennsylvania Station by at least 10 percent of the regularly scheduled fare price, or by at least 10 percent of the reduced fare price if the customer is eligible for such a fare under a reduced fare program established by the corporation. The reduced fares shall remain in effect until direct rail service to and from New York Pennsylvania Station is restored on the Raritan Valley Line.
2. This act shall take effect immediately.
STATEMENT
This bill requires the Executive Director of the New Jersey Transit Corporation to reduce fares for rail passes and tickets on the Raritan Valley Line with an origin or destination of New York Pennsylvania Station by at least 10 percent of the customer's regular fare price until direct rail service to and from New York Pennsylvania Station is restored on that rail line.
