Summary

This bill amends the Insurance Law as it relates to the processing of claims for services rendered by specialists by allowing the specialist to have the insurance company have the claim reviewed by a specialist in the same field, and requiring that the insurance company grant the claim if the reviewing specialist determines that the rendered services were medically necessary.
