Summary

This bill would allow Family Court Judges the additional option of placing those adjudicated to be juvenile delinquents in a county shelter or detention facility, for short periods, e.g., a week or school vacations, not to exceed seven days. Also to give those Judges the option of placing delinquents under the supervision and control of local town and village officials so that the young people could be engaged in "public works" projects which will not only benefit them but the municipalities as well.
