Summary

This bill would protect the most vulnerable residents of a Mitchell-Lama cooperative (i.e., senior citizens, disabled persons and low and moderate income households) from losing their homes due to their inability to pay the substantial increases in maintenance charges which can be expected to occur when the Mitchell-Lama project decides to convert to private ownership.
