Summary

This bill amends the social services law directing the Commissioner of the Department of Health to apply for a federal Medicaid Reform Demon- stration Waiver to be implemented in no less than three geographic areas of the state. The waiver shall be developed to provide for a more effi- cient Medicaid services delivery system in New York that empowers Medi- caid patients, bridges public and private coverage, improves patient outcomes and stabilizes program costs.
