          the Committee on Ways and Means
        AN ACT to amend the public  authorities  law,  in  relation  to  capital
          program plans
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Paragraphs (b) and (c) of subdivision 1 of  section  1269-b
     2  of  the  public  authorities law, as added by chapter 637 of the laws of
     3  1996, are amended and a new paragraph (d) is added to read as follows:
     4    (b) not later than ten days after the effective date of this paragraph
     5  the authority shall submit to the metropolitan transportation  authority
     6  capital program review board two capital program plans for the five-year
     7  period commencing January first, nineteen hundred ninety-five; [and]
     8    (c) on or before October first, nineteen hundred ninety-nine and every
     9  fifth year thereafter, through and including October first, two thousand
    10  fourteen,  the authority shall submit to the metropolitan transportation
    11  authority capital program review board two capital program plans for the
    12  five-year period commencing January first of the following year[.]; and
    13    (d) on or before January thirty-first, two thousand twenty  and  every
    14  fifth  year  thereafter,  the authority shall submit to the metropolitan
    15  transportation  authority  capital  program  review  board  two  capital
    16  program  plans  for the five-year period commencing January first of the
    17  following year.
    18    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
