        AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in  relation  to  an  erro-
          neously issued parking violation summons
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. Section 1200 of the vehicle and traffic law is  amended  by
     2  adding a new subdivision (e) to read as follows:
     3    (e)  Where  a  court  or  hearing  officer  determines  that a parking
     4  violation summons was erroneously issued due to no fault of  the  person
     5  receiving  such  summons  and  is  dismissed  because the driver did not
     6  violate any law, the court shall issue a one hundred dollar  payment  to
     7  the person who was issued the ticket.
     8    §  2.  This  act  shall take effect on the sixtieth day after it shall
     9  have become a law.
