        AN  ACT  to  amend  the public authorities law, in relation to providing
          notification to customers of bed  bug  infestations  on  MTA  subways,
          trains and buses
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 1266-l to read as follows:
     3    §  1266-l.  Notification  of bed bug infestations. The authority shall
     4  establish a system to  notify  customers  of  bed  bug  infestations  on
     5  subways,  trains and buses, within twenty-four hours of discovering such
     6  infestation. Such system may include notification through  the  authori-
     7  ty's webpage, or by email or text message.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
