        AN ACT to amend the election law, in relation to  campaign  contribution
          restrictions
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The election law is amended by adding a new section  14-115
     2  to read as follows:
     3    § 14-115. Campaign contribution restrictions.  1. No political commit-
     4  tee authorized by a candidate, or any officer, member or agent of such a
     5  committee,  may contribute more than one thousand dollars per annum from
     6  funds owned or controlled by such committee to any  other  candidate  or
     7  political  committee authorized by another candidate, nor shall a candi-
     8  date or political committee authorized by a candidate, or  any  officer,
     9  member or agent of such a candidate or committee, accept such a contrib-
    10  ution.  Provided, however, that this section shall not apply to contrib-
    11  utions made pursuant to section 14-132 of this article.
    12    2. Any person who violates this section shall be subject to a fine  up
    13  to one thousand dollars.
    14    §  2. This act shall take effect on the first of January next succeed-
    15  ing the date on which it shall have become a law.
