        AN ACT to amend the administrative code of the  city  of  New  York,  in
          relation  to requiring that no traffic-control signal shall indicate a
          green light for traffic while  a  pedestrian-control  signal  at  such
          intersection displays a signal indicating walk for the pedestrian

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. The administrative code of the city of New York is  amended
     2  by adding a new section 19-196.1 to read as follows:
     3    §  19-196.1  Pedestrian-control  signals.    No traffic-control signal
     4  shall indicate a green light  for  traffic  while  a  pedestrian-control
     5  signal  at  such  intersection  displays  a  signal indicating walk or a
     6  steady walking person.
     7    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
