AN ACT to amend the labor law, in relation to the fine for not timely
paying the statutory fees for the inspection of boilers and the
inspection of places of public assembly
THE PEOPLE OF THE STATE OF NEW YORK, REPRESENTED IN SENATE AND ASSEM-
BLY, DO ENACT AS FOLLOWS:
1 Section 1. Section 216 of the labor law, as added by chapter 449 of
2 the laws of 1968, is amended to read as follows:
3 S 216. Failure to pay statutory inspection fees. Any person who fails
4 to pay the statutory fees for the inspection of boilers, as provided in
5 SUBDIVISION THREE OF section two hundred four[, subdivision three,] of
6 this article or the statutory fees for the inspection of places of
7 public assembly, as provided in SUBDIVISION TWO OF section four hundred
8 seventy-three[, subdivision two,] of this [article] CHAPTER, within
9 thirty days after written notice that such fees are due and payable,
10 shall pay an additional amount equal to [three times] the amount speci-
11 fied in the written notice as being due and payable.
12 S 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
