          Department) -- read once and  referred  to  the  Committee  on  Higher
          Education
        AN  ACT  to repeal paragraph (f) of subdivision 6 of section 6506 of the
          education law relating to supervision by  the  board  of  regents;  to
          repeal  subdivision 6 of section 6524 of the education law relating to
          requirements for a license as a physician; to repeal subdivision 6  of
          section  6554  of  the  education  law  relating to requirements for a
          license as a chiropractor; to repeal subdivision 6 of section 6604  of
          the education law relating to requirements for a license as a dentist;
          to  repeal subdivision 6 of section 6609 of the education law relating
          to requirements for a license as a dental hygienist; to repeal  subdi-
          vision 6 of section 6704 of the education law relating to requirements
          for  a  license  as a veterinarian; to repeal subdivision 6 of section
          6711 of the education law; relating to requirements for a license as a
          veterinary technician; to repeal  paragraph  6  of  subdivision  1  of
          section  6805  of the education law relating to the requirements for a
          license as a pharmacist; to repeal subdivision 6 of  section  6955  of
          the  education  law  relating  to  the requirements for a license as a
          midwife; to repeal paragraph 6 of subdivision 1 of section 7206 of the
          education law relating to requirements for a license as a professional
          engineer; to repeal paragraph 6 of subdivision 1 of section 7206-a  of
          the  education law relating to requirements for a license as a profes-
          sional land surveyor; to  repeal  paragraph  6  of  subdivision  1  of
          section  7324  of  the  education  law  relating to requirements for a
          license as a landscape architect; to repeal paragraph 6 of subdivision
          1 of section 7504 of the education law relating to requirements for  a
          license  as a certified shorthand reporter; to repeal subdivision 5 of
          section 7804 of the education  law  relating  to  requirements  for  a
          license  as  a massage therapist, masseur, or a masseuse; and to amend
          chapter 658 of the laws of 2002, amending the education  law  relating
          to  citizenship requirements for permanent certification as a teacher,
          in relation to making such provisions permanent

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section  1.  Paragraph  (f)  of  subdivision  6 of section 6506 of the
     2  education law is REPEALED.
     3    § 2. Subdivision 6 of section 6524 of the education law is REPEALED.
     4    § 3. Subdivision 6 of section 6554 of the education law is REPEALED.
     5    § 4. Subdivision 6 of section 6604 of the education law is REPEALED.
     6    § 5. Subdivision 6 of section 6609 of the education law is REPEALED.
     7    § 6. Subdivision 6 of section 6704 of the education law is REPEALED.
     8    § 7. Subdivision 6 of section 6711 of the education law is REPEALED.
     9    § 8. Paragraph 6 of subdivision 1 of section 6805 of the education law
    10  is REPEALED.
    11    § 9. Subdivision 6 of section 6955 of the education law is REPEALED.
    12    § 10. Paragraph 6 of subdivision 1 of section 7206  of  the  education
    13  law is REPEALED.
    14    §  11. Paragraph 6 of subdivision 1 of section 7206-a of the education
    15  law is REPEALED.
    16    § 12. Paragraph 6 of subdivision 1 of section 7324  of  the  education
    17  law is REPEALED.
    18    §  13.  Paragraph  6 of subdivision 1 of section 7504 of the education
    19  law is REPEALED.
    20    § 14. Subdivision 5 of section 7804 of the education law is REPEALED.
    21    § 15. Section 2 of chapter 658 of  the  laws  of  2002,  amending  the
    22  education law relating to citizenship requirements for permanent certif-
    23  ication as a teacher, as amended by section 59 of part YYY of chapter 59
    24  of the laws of 2017, is amended to read as follows:
    25    §  2. This act shall take effect immediately[, and shall expire and be
    26  deemed repealed November 30, 2022].
    27    § 16. This act shall take effect immediately.
