          on Economic Development

        AN  ACT  to  amend  chapter 154 of the laws of 1921 relating to the Port
          Authority of New York and New Jersey, in relation to establishing  the
          hours  during  which  alcoholic beverages may be sold at air terminals
          operated by such authority

          The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and  Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section  1.  Section  1 of chapter 154 of the laws of 1921 relating to
     2  the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey, is amended  by  adding  a
     3  new article VII-F to read as follows:

     4                                ARTICLE VII-F

     5    Notwithstanding any inconsistent provision of law, no alcoholic bever-
     6  ages  shall  be  sold,  offered for sale or given away upon any premises
     7  licensed to sell alcoholic beverages at any airport operated by the Port
     8  Authority of New York and New Jersey on any day between three ante meri-
     9  dian and six ante meridian.
    10    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately; provided that section one
    11  of this act shall take effect upon the enactment into law by  the  state
    12  of  New  Jersey of legislation having an identical effect with this act,
    13  but if the state of New Jersey shall have already  enacted  such  legis-
    14  lation, this act shall take effect immediately; provided that the Chair-
    15  man  of  the  Port  Authority of New Jersey shall notify the legislative
    16  bill drafting commission upon the occurrence of  the  enactment  of  the
    17  legislation  provided  for  in section one of this act in order that the
    18  commission may maintain an accurate and timely effective  data  base  of
    19  the official text of the laws of the state of New York in furtherance of
    20  effectuating  the  provisions  of  section 44 of the legislative law and
    21  section 70-b of the public officers law.
