        AN ACT to amend the real property tax law, in relation  to  the  certif-
          ication of final state equalization rates
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1.  Section 1212 of the real property tax law, as  amended  by
     2  chapter  355  of  the laws of 1990 and as further amended by subdivision
     3  (b) of section 1 of part W of chapter 56 of the laws of 2010, is amended
     4  to read as follows:
     5    § 1212. Certification of final state equalization rates, class  ratios
     6  and  class equalization rates. After establishing the final state equal-
     7  ization rate, class ratios and class equalization  rates,  if  required,
     8  for a city, town, village, special assessing unit, or approved assessing
     9  unit  or  eligible  non-assessing  unit  village  which  has adopted the
    10  provisions of section  nineteen  hundred  three  of  this  chapter,  the
    11  commissioner  shall  file a certificate with the chief executive officer
    12  of such city, town, village, special assessing unit, or approved assess-
    13  ing unit or eligible non-assessing unit village which  has  adopted  the
    14  provisions  of  section  nineteen  hundred three of this chapter setting
    15  forth such final state equalization rate, class ratios and class  equal-
    16  ization  rates  and  identifying  the  assessment  roll for which it was
    17  established. The certification of the  final  state  equalization  rate,
    18  class  ratios, and class equalization rates, if required, shall occur no
    19  later than thirty days prior to the last date set by  law  for  levy  of
    20  taxes  of  any  municipal  corporation  to which such equalization rate,
    21  class ratios, and class equalization rates are applicable.  A  duplicate
    22  certificate  for  each  city,  town,  village  within  a county, special

     1  assessing unit and approved assessing unit  and  eligible  non-assessing
     2  unit  village  which  has  adopted  the  provisions  of section nineteen
     3  hundred three of this chapter or a certified statement setting forth the
     4  final rates for all the cities, towns, villages within a county, special
     5  assessing  units and approved assessing units and eligible non-assessing
     6  unit villages which have adopted  the  provisions  of  section  nineteen
     7  hundred three of this chapter shall be filed with the clerk of the board
     8  of supervisors thereof and in the office of the state comptroller.
     9    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
