        HONORING  Kerry-Ann Bryan upon the occasion of her
        designation as recipient of a 2019 Scholarship Award
        by the Community Council for Medgar  Evers  College,
        Inc.

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the intent of this Legislative Body to commend and
pay tribute to those young people who, by achieving outstanding  success
in  their  educational endeavors, have inspired and brought pride to our
majestic Empire State; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Kerry-Ann  Bryan  upon the occasion of her designation as recipient of a
2019 Scholarship  Award  by  the  Community  Council  for  Medgar  Evers
College,  Inc.  celebrated  at  its  16th  Annual Spring Scholarship and
Leadership Awards Luncheon on Saturday, April 27, 2019, in Brooklyn, New
York; and

  WHEREAS, A junior studying Social  Work  at  Medgar  Evers  College,
Kerry-Ann Bryan has a 3.2 GPA; and

  WHEREAS,  With a sincere passion for helping others, Kerry-Ann Bryan
served as an intern at the Fresh Air Fund which provides summer programs
for low income children in New York City; she also  traveled  to  Puerto
Rico to help fix roofs after Hurricane Maria; and

  WHEREAS,  Furthermore,  Kerry-Ann Bryan hopes to inspire individuals
with  disabilities  and  show  the  world  that  people  with   physical
differences are capable of doing anything; and

  WHEREAS, Kerry-Ann Bryan, in achieving this high academic honor, may
take  just  pride  in  the inspiration and contribution to the spirit of
excellence she brings to her family, friends, community and school; now,
therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Kerry-Ann Bryan upon the occasion of her designation as recipient
of a 2019 Scholarship Award by the Community Council  for  Medgar  Evers
College, Inc.; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Kerry-Ann Bryan.
