Senate Resolution No. 2031

        HONORING  Jeffrey Weisman upon the occasion of his
        designation for special recognition by the Manhasset
        Great Neck Economic  Opportunity  Council,  Inc.  on
        June 20, 2019

  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the quality of life in their community and have shown a long and
sustained commitment to the  maintenance  of  high  standards  in  their
profession,  certainly  have  earned the recognition and applause of all
the citizens of this great Empire State; and

  WHEREAS, Attendant to such concern, and  in  full  accord  with  its
long-standing traditions, this Legislative Body is justly proud to honor
Jeffrey  Weisman  upon  the  occasion  of  his  designation  for special
recognition by the Manhasset Great Neck  Economic  Opportunity  Council,
Inc.  at  its  Spring  Gala  on  Thursday,  June  20, 2019, at Leonard's
Palazzo, Great Neck, New York; and

  WHEREAS, Jeffrey Weisman, Owner of Little Neck Beverage Corporation,
has been called upon to contribute his time  and  talents  to  countless
civic   and  charitable  endeavors  and  has  always  given  of  himself
unstintingly; and

  WHEREAS, Owned and operated by his late father, Irving Weisman,  the
Little   Neck   Beverage   Corporation,   or   The  Beverage  as  it  is
affectionately called, has been a fixture of the  Manhasset  Great  Neck
community since 1967; and

  WHEREAS,  Jeffrey  Weisman  began  working for his father at just 10
years old, growing up with and among  the  residents  of  the  community
which the store serves; and

  WHEREAS,  With a steadfast and unwavering commitment to Little Neck,
Jeffrey Weisman supports countless  community  functions  and  sincerely
celebrates the success of individual residents; and

  WHEREAS,  Throughout  the  entire period of his community service, a
period of constructive involvement, Jeffrey Weisman has  stood  constant
in dignity, good grace and humor; and

  WHEREAS,  Rare  indeed  is  the  impressive  dedication  shown by an
individual for the benefit of others which Jeffrey Weisman has displayed
throughout his life; and

  WHEREAS, It has always been the objective of this  Legislative  Body
to  honor  and  support  those  individuals  who  have  displayed  their
commitment to the betterment of their communities, and it is the  intent
of  this  Legislative Body to inscribe upon its records, this tribute to
Jeffrey Weisman, that future generations may  know  and  appreciate  his
admirable  character,  his  many  benevolent  deeds, and the respect and
esteem in which he is held by his peers; now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
honor  Jeffrey  Weisman upon the occasion of his designation for special
recognition by the Manhasset Great Neck  Economic  Opportunity  Council,
Inc.; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  a  copy  of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Jeffrey Weisman.
