Senate Resolution No. 2128 BY: Senator JACOBS MOURNING the tragic and untimely death of 18 year-old Edward J. Travis IV, of Hamburg, New York WHEREAS, This Legislative Body is deeply moved to inscribe upon its records this tribute for Edward J. Travis IV, a young man who will be remembered as a responsible young man with a big heart and a contagious smile; and WHEREAS, It is the sense of this Legislative Body to mourn the tragic and untimely death of 18 year-old Edward J. Travis IV, of Hamburg, New York, who died on Saturday, June 15, 2019; and WHEREAS, Edward J. Travis IV, who went by Eddie, was a beloved senior at Frontier High School who played ice hockey and baseball for many years; he was preparing to graduate and start a full-time job at a local excavation company; and WHEREAS, Predeceased by his maternal grandparents, Richard and Linda Gulczewski, Edward J. Travis IV is survived by his parents, Lisa J. (Gulczewski) and Edward Travis, III; his older sister, Rebecca Travis; nephew and niece, Sage Owen and Cecily Faye; paternal grandparents, Edward "E.J." and Nancy Travis; and girlfriend, Elizabeth "Lizzy" Rybarczyk; as well as many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends; and WHEREAS, Edward J. Travis IV, a young man of incredible spirit and enthusiasm, truly brought enduring honor to his family through his many achievements; his memory will remain in the hearts of all those who had the privilege of knowing him; now, therefore, be it RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its deliberations to mourn the tragic and untimely death of 18 year-old Edward J. Travis IV, and to express its deepest condolences to his family; and be it further RESOLVED, That a copy of this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be transmitted to the family of Edward J. Travis IV.
