        LEGISLATIVE  RESOLUTION  congratulating the American
        Clergy Leadership Conference upon  the  occasion  of
        hosting Celebration 2020

  WHEREAS, Spiritual guidance and nurturing are of great import to the
vitality  and well-being of all people and every community of this great
State and Nation; and

  WHEREAS, Instrumental in that deliverance are those men and women of
religious commitment who accept the responsibility of  moral  leadership
and render the wisdom of human understanding; and

  WHEREAS,  Attendant  to  such  concern,  and in full accord with its
long-standing traditions, this  Legislative  Body  is  justly  proud  to
congratulate the American Clergy Leadership Conference upon the occasion
of  hosting  Celebration  2020  to  be observed on Saturday, January 25,
2020, at the Manhattan Center in New York, New York; and

  WHEREAS, This auspicious occasion is meant to bring awareness of the
True Mother,  and  recognize  Heavenly  Parents  Day  and  True  Parents
Birthday with individuals across the United States; and

  WHEREAS, In addition, the event will celebrate the 100th Birthday of
the  late Sun Myung Moon, the 77th Birthday of Hak Ja Han (Mother Moon),
and their 60th Wedding Anniversary; and

  WHEREAS,  The  American  Clergy  Leadership  Conference  (ACLC)  was
founded  in  Korea during May of 2000 by 120 clergy members who gathered
to affirm the vision given by God to Reverend Dr. Sun Myung Moon and Dr.
Hak Ja Han Moon to unify the Body of Christ; and

  WHEREAS, ACLC  is  a  coalition  of  clergy  working  to  strengthen
marriages,  rebuild  families, restore communities, and renew the nation
and the world; headquartered at 4 West 43rd Street in New York City, the
coalition intends to uphold the validity of the United States of America
as a shining nation of freedom, faith, harmony and prosperity; and

  WHEREAS, Clergy relating to clergy throughout the United  States  of
America  and  around  the  globe  is  the mission of the American Clergy
Leadership Conference, which is building on the vision announced by  the
Mother  of  Peace,  Dr.  Hak  Ja Han Moon for the chosen of God to unify
Christian clergy with her in the work of God for World Peace; and

  WHEREAS, Born on January 6, 1920, the late Reverend  Dr.  Sun  Myung
Moon was a Korean religious leader who founded the Unification movement,
and  of  its  widely  noted "Blessing" or mass wedding ceremony, and the
author of its unique theology the Divine Principle; and

  WHEREAS, His wife, Dr. Hak Ja Han was born on February 10, 1943;  in
1992,  she  established  the  Women's  Federation  for  World Peace, and
traveled the world speaking on its behalf; she  is  the  leader  of  the
Family  Federation  for  World  Peace  and  Unification, in which she is
called "True Mother"; and


  WHEREAS,  It  is  the  sense of this Legislative Body that those who
enhance the well-being and vitality of their community and have shown  a
long  and  sustained  commitment to excellence certainly have earned the
recognition and applause of all the citizens of this great Empire State;
now, therefore, be it

  RESOLVED, That this Legislative Body pause in its  deliberations  to
congratulate the American Clergy Leadership Conference upon the occasion
of hosting Celebration 2020 on January 25, 2020; and be it further

  RESOLVED,  That  copies  of  this Resolution, suitably engrossed, be
transmitted to Dr.  Hak  Ja  Han  and  the  American  Clergy  Leadership
Conference.
