KAMINSKY -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation -- reported favorably from said committee, ordered to first and second report, ordered to a third reading, amended and ordered reprinted, retaining its place in the order of third reading AN ACT to amend the vehicle and traffic law, in relation to authorizing a residential parking system in certain parts of the hamlet of Ocean- side in the Town of Hempstead The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Subdivision 2 of section 1662-e of the vehicle and traffic 2 law, as added by chapter 267 of the laws of 2013, is amended to read as 3 follows: 4 2. Such residential parking permit system may only be established 5 (i) within the area known as East Meadow of the town consisting of the 6 following roadways: 7 (a) Roosevelt Avenue west of Prospect Avenue; 8 (b) Jefferson Street west of Prospect Avenue; 9 (c) First Street west of Prospect Avenue; 10 (d) Second Street West of Prospect Avenue; 11 (e) Third Street west of Prospect Avenue; 12 (f) Fourth Street west of Prospect Avenue; 13 (g) Clearmeadow Drive; 14 (h) Nottingham Road; 15 (i) Florence Court; 16 (j) Jane Court; 17 (k) Dofena Lane; 18 (l) Franklin Avenue north of 4th Street; 19 (m) Bailey Avenue; EXPLANATION--Matter in italics (underscored) is new; matter in brackets [] is old law to be omitted. LBD03463-02-9S. 89--A 2 1 (n) Franklin Avenue, north of 7th Street and south of Hempstead Turn- 2 pike; 3 (o) Lincoln Avenue, north of 7th Street and south of Roosevelt Avenue; 4 (p) 5th Street, west of Prospect Avenue; 5 (q) 6th Street, west of Prospect Avenue; 6 (r) 7th Street, west of Prospect Avenue; 7 (s) Pengon Circle; 8 (t) Lois Court; 9 (u) Erma Drive; 10 (v) Ava Drive; 11 (w) Dorothy Drive; 12 (x) Barbara Drive; 13 (y) Rose Drive; 14 (z) Bly Road; 15 (aa) Marion Drive; and 16 (bb) Conti Square Boulevard. 17 (ii) within the area of the hamlet of Oceanside which shall mean that 18 area generally bounded by the following: All of that area beginning at 19 the intersection of Foxhurst Road and Soper Ave; running west on 20 Foxhurst Road to Long Beach Road; thence running north on Long Beach 21 Road; thence running east on Merrick Road to the intersection of Ocean- 22 side Road and Merrick Road; thence running north on Oceanside Road to 23 Sunrise Highway; thence running east along Sunrise Highway Avenue to the 24 intersection of Charing Cross Road; running thence south on Charing 25 Cross Road to the intersection of Merrick Road; running thence west on 26 Merrick Road to the intersection of Soper Ave; running thence south on 27 Soper Ave to the intersection of Foxhurst Road, the place of beginning. 28 For the purposes of this paragraph, permit parking may be implemented on 29 both sides of any street whose center line is herein utilized as a boun- 30 dary description; provided, however, that except for the reference to 31 state highways solely for the purposes of delineating the boundaries of 32 the area described in this paragraph, the provisions of this subdivision 33 shall not apply to any state highway maintained by the state. 34 § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
