STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 412--A 2019-2020 Regular Sessions IN SENATE (Prefiled) January 9, 2019 ___________ Introduced by Sen. LANZA -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Corporations, Authorities and Commissions -- committee discharged, bill amended, ordered reprinted as amended and recommitted to said committee AN ACT to amend the public authorities law, in relation to the provision of express bus service to the south shore of Staten Island The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. The public authorities law is amended by adding a new 2 section 1266-l to read as follows: 3 § 1266-l. Staten Island express bus service. The authority is hereby 4 directed to continue to fund and operate express bus service transport- 5 ing riders between the communities of Tottenville, Richmond Valley, 6 Prince's Bay, Pleasant Plains, Charleston, Woodrow and Rossville in 7 Staten Island to the downtown and/or midtown business districts of 8 Manhattan on all routes operating such service on April thirtieth, two 9 thousand twenty. The authority is hereby directed to assume and operate 10 the two express bus routes serving the communities of Huguenot, Prince's 11 Bay, Woodrow, Rossville, Annadale and Arden Heights to the midtown busi- 12 ness district of Manhattan and being operated by Academy Bus Company on 13 April thirtieth, two thousand twenty-one and better known as routes 14 numbered X23 and X24. 15 § 2.
