THIELE -- read once and referred to the Committee on Governmental Operations AN ACT to amend the executive law, in relation to allowing represen- tatives of the media authorized access to areas closed during public emergencies The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. Section 24 of the executive law is amended by adding a new 2 subdivision 2-a to read as follows: 3 2-a. Nothing shall prevent a duly authorized representative of any 4 radio, television, newspaper or news service media from entering any 5 areas which have been restricted, regulated or controlled pursuant to 6 this section. 7 § 2.
