        AN  ACT in relation to extending the deadline for the filing of applica-
          tions  and  renewal  applications  for  real  property  tax  abatement
          programs

          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:

     1    Section 1. Notwithstanding any other provision of  law,  the  deadline
     2  for  the  filing  of  applications and renewal applications for any real
     3  property tax abatement program or programs provided by any  municipality
     4  in this state shall be extended for 180 days from the date such applica-
     5  tion  or  renewal application is due to be filed with such municipality,
     6  provided the governing body of such municipality  adopts  a  local  law,
     7  ordinance or resolution providing therefor.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
