        Introduced  by Sen. BENJAMIN -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
        AN ACT to amend the public authorities law,  in  relation  to  requiring
          that the MTA provide ninety days' notice to community boards of subway
          station closings due to repairs and/or renovations
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The public authorities law  is  amended  by  adding  a  new
     2  section 1277-b to read as follows:
     3    §  1277-b.  Notice  of  station repairs and renovations. The authority
     4  shall provide ninety days' notice to community boards within the city of
     5  New York when a subway station will be closed for repairs  and/or  reno-
     6  vations  within  such community board district or within a one-half mile
     7  radius of such community board district.
     8    § 2. This act shall take effect immediately.
