        Introduced  by  Sen. BONACIC -- read twice and ordered printed, and when
          printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation
        AN ACT to amend the highway law, in relation to designating a portion of
          the state highway system in the county of Sullivan as  "The  Woodstock
          Way"
          The  People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem-
        bly, do enact as follows:
     1    Section 1. The highway law is amended by adding a new section  342-vvv
     2  to read as follows:
     3    §  342-vvv.  Portion  of  the state highway system to be designated as
     4  "The Woodstock Way". All that portion of the highway system constituting
     5  state route 17B in the county of Sullivan shall be designated and  known
     6  as "The Woodstock Way".
     7    §  2. The commissioner of transportation shall provide for the instal-
     8  lation and maintenance of adequate signing of the state  highway  system
     9  as  designated  pursuant  to  section one of this act. However, to avoid
    10  confusion and to limit any possible disruption of commerce,  the  desig-
    11  nation  called  for  pursuant to section one of this act shall be one of
    12  ceremonial nature and the official name of such  highway  shall  not  be
    13  changed as a result of this act.
    14    § 3. This act shall take effect immediately.
