STATE OF NEW YORK ________________________________________________________________________ 8730 IN SENATE May 10, 2018 ___________ Introduced by Sen. RITCHIE -- read twice and ordered printed, and when printed to be committed to the Committee on Transportation AN ACT relating to legalizing, validating, ratifying and confirming a transportation contract of the Fulton city school district The People of the State of New York, represented in Senate and Assem- bly, do enact as follows: 1 Section 1. All the acts done and proceedings heretofore had and taken 2 or caused to be had and taken by the Fulton City School District and by 3 all officers, employees or agents of such school district relating to or 4 in connection with transportation contract E006115 of the 2016-2017 5 school year, and all acts incidental hereto are hereby legalized, vali- 6 dated, ratified and confirmed, notwithstanding any failure to comply 7 with the contract award, approval and filing provisions of the education 8 law, the general municipal law or any other law or any other statutory 9 authority, rule or regulation, other than those filing provisions 10 defined in paragraph a of subdivision 5 of section 3604 of the education 11 law, in relation to any omission, error, defect, irregularity or ille- 12 gality in such proceeding had and taken. 13 § 2. The department of education is hereby directed to consider the 14 aforementioned contract for transportation aid as valid and proper obli- 15 gations of the Fulton City School District. 16 § 3.
