Summary

Requires Oregon Health Authority to design program to import wholesale prescription drugs from Canada. Specifies conditions and requirements. If authority estimates program would produce substantial cost savings for Oregon consumers, requires authority to seek federal approval and, with federal approval, to implement program. Authorizes administrator of Oregon Prescription Drug Program to contract with pharmacy benefit manager and to establish state-managed wholesale or retail drug distribution or dispensing system. Modifies duties of Task Force on the Fair Pricing of Prescription Drugs and extends sunset on task force. Declares emergency, effective on passage.
