| AN ACT |
| |
1 | Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania |
2 | Consolidated Statutes, further providing, in ethics standards |
3 | and financial disclosure, for restricted activities. |
4 | The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania |
5 | hereby enacts as follows: |
6 | Section 1. Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania |
7 | Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read: |
8 | § 1103. Restricted activities. |
9 | * * * |
10 | (k) Employment restrictions.-- |
11 | (1) This subsection applies to all of the following: |
12 | (i) An executive-level State employee. |
13 | (ii) A member elected to: |
14 | (A) the Senate; or |
15 | (B) the House of Representatives. |
16 | (2) An individual subject to this subsection may not, |
17 | for one year after leaving employment or office, receive an |
18 | appointment by the Governor which is subject to approval by |

1 | the Senate. |
2 | Section 2. The addition of 65 Pa.C.S. § 1103(k) applies to |
3 | appointments made on or after the effective date of this |
4 | section. |
5 | Section 3. This act shall take effect in 60 days. |
