AN ACT

  

1

Amending Title 65 (Public Officers) of the Pennsylvania

2

Consolidated Statutes, further providing, in ethics standards

3

and financial disclosure, for restricted activities.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Section 1103 of Title 65 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a subsection to read:

8

§ 1103.  Restricted activities.

9

(k)  Employment restrictions.--

11

(1)  This subsection applies to all of the following:

12

(i)  An executive-level State employee.

13

(ii)  A member elected to:

14

(A)  the Senate; or

15

(B)  the House of Representatives.

16

(2)  An individual subject to this subsection may not,

17

for one year after leaving employment or office, receive an

18

appointment by the Governor which is subject to approval by

the Senate.

Section 2.  The addition of 65 Pa.C.S. § 1103(k) applies to

3

appointments made on or after the effective date of this

4

section.

5

Section 3.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
