AN ACT

Amending Title 75 (Vehicles) of the Pennsylvania Consolidated

Statutes, further providing for sun screening and other

3

materials prohibited.

The General Assembly of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania

5

hereby enacts as follows:

6

Section 1.  Section 4524(e) of Title 75 of the Pennsylvania

7

Consolidated Statutes is amended by adding a paragraph to read:

8

§ 4524.  Windshield obstructions and wipers.

(e)  Sun screening and other materials prohibited.--

(6)  No person shall sell or transfer any motor vehicle

13

with any sun screening device or other material which does

14

not permit a person to see or view the inside of the vehicle

15

through the windshield, side wing or side window of the

16

vehicle. The seller or transferor of a motor vehicle shall be

17

responsible for the removal of all sun screening and other

materials from the vehicle prior to the sale or transfer of

2

the vehicle if the sun screening is in violation of the

3

requirements of paragraph (1).

Section 2.  This act shall take effect in 60 days.
