| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter A, Chapter 36, Insurance Code, is | ||
| amended by adding Section 36.008 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 36.008. RULES ON STANDARDIZATION OF DISCLOSURES. To | ||
| the extent practicable, the commissioner shall adopt rules that | ||
| require all insurers authorized to engage in the business of | ||
| insurance in this state and all health maintenance organizations | ||
| authorized to engage in the business of a health maintenance | ||
| organization in this state to provide the same disclosures in each | ||
| policy or evidence of coverage issued by the insurer or | ||
| organization. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
