AN ACT
  relating to the placement of speed limit signs at the end of
  construction or maintenance work zones.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter H, Chapter 545, Transportation Code,
  is amended by adding Section 545.364 to read as follows:
         Sec. 545.364.  SPEED LIMIT SIGNS AFTER CONSTRUCTION OR
  MAINTENANCE WORK ZONE. (a) In this section, "construction or
  maintenance work zone" has the meaning assigned by Section 472.022.
         (b)  An entity that sets a lower speed limit on a road or
  highway in the state highway system for a construction or
  maintenance work zone shall place or require to be placed a sign at
  the end of the zone that indicates the speed limit after the zone
  ends.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
