| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter Z, Chapter 240, Local Government | ||
| Code, is amended by adding Section 240.910 to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 240.910. TRAFFIC STUDY REQUIREMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT | ||
| PROJECTS. A commissioners court by order may require the developer | ||
| of a development project proposed to be located in the county to pay | ||
| the county for the cost of conducting a traffic study on the effects | ||
| the proposed development will have on roads in the county. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
