A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the costs of conducting a traffic study on the effects
  of a development project proposed to be located in the county.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter Z, Chapter 240, Local Government
  Code, is amended by adding Section 240.910 to read as follows:
         Sec. 240.910.  TRAFFIC STUDY REQUIREMENT FOR DEVELOPMENT
  PROJECTS. A commissioners court by order may require the developer
  of a development project proposed to be located in the county to pay
  the county for the cost of conducting a traffic study on the effects
  the proposed development will have on roads in the county.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
