A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the imposition of a supplemental court security fee on
  conviction of certain criminal offenses.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Article 102.017, Code of Criminal Procedure, is
  amended by adding Subsection (c-1) to read as follows:
         (c-1)  In addition to any other fee paid under this article,
  a defendant whose sentence on conviction of a misdemeanor or felony
  offense includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1
  supplemental security fee as a cost of court. 
         SECTION 2.  Subchapter B, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.02105 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.02105.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure. 
         SECTION 3.  Subchapter C, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.0411 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.0411.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure. 
         SECTION 4.  Subchapter D, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.06105 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.06105.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure.
         SECTION 5.  Subchapter E, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.0811 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.0811.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure.
         SECTION 6.  Subchapter F, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.1011 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.1011.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure.
         SECTION 7.  Subchapter G, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.122 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.122.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure.
         SECTION 8.  Subchapter H, Chapter 102, Government Code, is
  amended by adding Section 102.1411 to read as follows:
         Sec. 102.1411.  SUPPLEMENTAL SECURITY FEE: CODE OF CRIMINAL
  PROCEDURE. A defendant whose sentence on conviction of an offense
  includes the imposition of a fine shall pay a $1 supplemental
  security fee as a cost of court under Article 102.017, Code of
  Criminal Procedure.
         SECTION 9.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
