A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to information on certain municipal utility districts'
  Internet websites.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter C, Chapter 54, Water Code, is amended
  by adding Section 54.104 to read as follows:
         Sec. 54.104.  INFORMATION ON CERTAIN DISTRICTS' INTERNET
  WEBSITES. (a)  This section applies only to a district that has 250
  or more registered voters.
         (b)  A district shall publish on the district's Internet
  website:
               (1)  the directors' names;
               (2)  contact information for the district;
               (3)  the minutes for any meeting held by the district;
               (4)  at least three days before the date of a meeting
  held by the district, the agenda of the meeting; and
               (5)  at least 30 days before the date of an election for
  the board, information about the election, including the purpose of
  the election.
         (c)  If appropriate, a district shall respond within a
  reasonable period of time to a person who contacts the district
  through the information listed on the district's Internet website
  under Subsection (b).
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
