relating to a study on mold contamination in housing developments | ||
supported by financial assistance administered by the Texas | ||
Department of Housing and Community Affairs. | ||
BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. (a) | ||
In this section, "department" means the | ||
Texas Department of Housing and Community Affairs. | ||
(b) Using existing resources, the department shall conduct | ||
a study on the number of incidents and causes of mold contamination | ||
in housing developments that are wholly or partly supported by | ||
financial assistance administered by the department. | ||
(c) Not later than September 1, 2020, the department shall | ||
prepare and submit to the legislature a written report that | ||
summarizes the results of the study and recommends a course of | ||
action for preventing and remediating incidents and causes of mold | ||
contamination in housing developments that are wholly or partly | ||
supported by financial assistance administered by the department. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
