| relating to the metering of certain wells by the Panola County | ||
| Groundwater Conservation District. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Subchapter C, Chapter 8819, Special District | ||
| Local Laws Code, is amended by adding Section 8819.106 to read as | ||
| follows: | ||
| Sec. 8819.106. METERING OF CERTAIN WELLS PROHIBITED. The | ||
| district may not require a meter for a well that is not capable of | ||
| producing more than 25,000 gallons of groundwater per day. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect immediately if it receives | ||
| a vote of two-thirds of all the members elected to each house, as | ||
| provided by Section 39, Article III, Texas Constitution. If this | ||
| Act does not receive the vote necessary for immediate effect, this | ||
| Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
