A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
 
AN ACT
  relating to the release of deer by certain deer breeding facilities
  to low-fenced acreage.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Subchapter L, Chapter 43, Parks and Wildlife
  Code, is amended by adding Section 43.3635 to read as follows:
         Sec. 43.3635.  RELEASE BY CERTAIN DEER BREEDING FACILITIES
  TO LOW-FENCED ACREAGE. (a) A deer breeding facility with the
  highest status transfer category as determined by commission rule
  may release breeder deer to a low-fenced site that:
               (1)  includes at least 5,000 acres of contiguous land;
  and
               (2)  is within 200 miles of the deer breeding facility.
         (b)  The commission shall adopt rules governing a release of
  breeder deer under this section.
         SECTION 2.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
