AN ACT
  relating to the amount of the health care services fee paid by
  certain inmates.
         BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS:
         SECTION 1.  Section 501.063(a)(1), Government Code, is
  amended to read as follows:
               (1)  An inmate confined in a facility operated by or
  under contract with the department, other than a halfway house, who
  initiates a visit to a health care provider shall pay a health care
  services fee to the department in the amount of $13.55 per visit,
  except that an inmate may not be required to pay more than $100
  during a state fiscal year [$100].
         SECTION 2.  Section 501.063(a)(2), Government Code, is
  repealed.
         SECTION 3.  This Act takes effect September 1, 2019.
