R E S O L U T I O N
 
         WHEREAS, A rich and purposeful life drew to a close with the
  passing of C. G. Richardson of Lampasas on May 4, 2019, at the age
  of 86; and
         WHEREAS, The son of Ola Jane and John Clyde Richardson,
  "Corky" Richardson was born in Somerset on April 17, 1933, and he
  grew up with the companionship of two siblings, J. K. and
  Geraldine; after graduating from high school, he joined the United
  States Army and served for two years during the Korean War; and
         WHEREAS, A dedicated entrepreneur, Mr. Richardson
  established Richardson Tile Company in 1955; he went on to enjoy a
  successful career in the tile industry, doing business across the
  U.S. and in Puerto Rico and earning the title of Tile Contractor of
  the Year; in 1971, he moved from Wichita Falls to Lampasas, where he
  also owned a cantera stone company called Lampasas Imports; and
         WHEREAS, Mr. Richardson was joined in matrimony to the former
  Dorothy Roark on January 29, 1953, and the couple shared a rewarding
  marriage that spanned more than 66 years; he was the proud father of
  three children, Greg, Mike, and Molly, and he had the pleasure of
  seeing his family grow to include 9 grandchildren and 10
  great-grandchildren; a valued resident of his community, he was a
  congregant of First United Methodist Church, and he was a member of
  the Masons, the Shriners, and Wichita Falls Elks Lodge No. 1105;
  and
         WHEREAS, Corky Richardson treasured the time he spent in the
  company of his family and friends, and those he leaves behind will
  in turn cherish their memories of this kind and caring man; now,
  therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of C. G. Richardson and
  extend sincere condolences to all who mourn his passing; and, be it
  further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for his family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Corky
  Richardson.
