WHEREAS, Entrepreneurs and the small businesses they create | ||
play an essential role in the Texas economy, generating jobs and | ||
enhancing the overall vitality of the communities they serve; and | ||
WHEREAS, Since its establishment in 2015, the restaurant | ||
Juniper has built an admirable reputation in the Austin area and | ||
made an important contribution to the city's vibrant dining scene; | ||
and | ||
WHEREAS, Juniper benefits from the inspired leadership of | ||
owner and chef Nic Yanes, a native of Cypress and a graduate of the | ||
Western Culinary Institute who was previously chef and creative | ||
director at the popular Uchi restaurant in Austin; his new | ||
restaurant features contemporary Northern Italian cuisine, made | ||
with locally sourced ingredients; and | ||
WHEREAS, The owners and staff of Juniper are helping to make | ||
the enterprise a Lone Star success story, and they may take | ||
justifiable pride in their achievements; now, therefore, be it | ||
RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas | ||
Legislature hereby honor Juniper as a noteworthy member of the | ||
Austin business community and extend to all those associated with | ||
the restaurant sincere best wishes for the future; and be it further | ||
RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be | ||
prepared for Juniper as an expression of high regard by the Texas | ||
House of Representatives. | ||
