	H.R. No. 1835



	R E S O L U T I O N

	WHEREAS, Rachel Elizabeth Leesang has been named
	salutatorian of the Class of 2019 at St. John Paul II High School in
	Corpus Christi, and she indeed merits special recognition for
	receiving this significant honor; and
	WHEREAS, Earning the title of salutatorian requires not only
	intellect and aptitude, but also four years of dedication to the
	highest academic standards; in securing her place as one of the two
	top ranking students in her class, Ms. Leesang demonstrated a
	thorough understanding of a wide range of subjects, and her
	attainment of this coveted distinction is the crowning achievement
	of a notable high school career; and
	WHEREAS, The daughter of Dr. Jerome and Cindy Leesang, Ms.
	Leesang plans to attend Our Lady of the Lake University, where she
	will follow a pre-med track; and
	WHEREAS, During her years at St. John Paul II High School,
	Rachel Elizabeth Leesang has earned the respect and admiration of
	both her teachers and classmates, and her exceptional scholastic
	ability and commitment to excellence have opened the way to a bright
	and promising future for this outstanding young Texan; now,
	therefore, be it
	RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 86th Texas
	Legislature hereby congratulate Rachel Elizabeth Leesang on
	graduating as salutatorian of the St. John Paul II High School Class
	of 2019 and extend to her sincere best wishes for continued success
	as she begins the next exciting chapter of her life; and, be it
	further
	RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
	prepared for Ms. Leesang as an expression of high regard by the
	Texas House of Representatives.
