BE IT RESOLVED by the House of Representatives of the State of | ||
Texas, 86th Legislature, Regular Session, 2019, That House Rule 13, | ||
Section 9(a), be suspended in part as provided by House Rule 13, | ||
Section 9(f), to enable the conference committee appointed to | ||
resolve the differences on Senate Bill 891 (the operation and | ||
administration of and practice in and grants provided by courts in | ||
the judicial branch of state government; increasing and imposing | ||
fees; creating a criminal offense) to consider and take action on | ||
the following matter: | ||
House Rule 13, Section 9(a)(4) is suspended to permit the | ||
committee to add text on a matter not included in either the house | ||
or senate version of the bill by adding the following new SECTION to | ||
ARTICLE 13 of the bill: | ||
SECTION 13.01. Section 231.103(a), Family Code, is amended | ||
to read as follows: | ||
(a) The Title IV-D agency may: | ||
(1) charge a reasonable application fee; | ||
(2) charge a $35 [ |

(3) to the extent permitted by federal law, recover | ||
costs for the services provided in a Title IV-D case. | ||
Explanation: The addition is necessary to amend the Family | ||
Code to provide for an increase of the annual service fee charged by | ||
the Title IV-D agency. | ||
