R E S O L U T I O N
         WHEREAS, Countless lives were touched by the kindness and
  generosity of Trinidad Resendez Lopez of Corpus Christi, who passed
  away on December 15, 2022, at the age of 83; and
         WHEREAS, The daughter of Eduardo and Ramona Pena Resendez,
  Trinidad Lopez was born on September 19, 1939, in San Diego, Texas,
  and grew up sharing in the companionship of nine siblings, Lupita,
  Manuel, Servando, Felicita, Eduardo, Simon, Oralia, Silvero, and
  Hilario; and
         WHEREAS, A devoted homemaker, Mrs. Lopez enjoyed a rewarding
  family life with her husband, Mauro Lopez, and she took great pride
  in her children, Brenda, Demetrio, Donato, Benjamin, Rene, Rosanna,
  and Olga, as well as the late Mauro Lopez Jr., Mauro Lopez III, and
  Angela Lopez, who preceded their mother in death; with the passing
  years, she had the privilege of seeing her family grow to include
  numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and
         WHEREAS, Drawing strength from her faith, Mrs. Lopez was a
  valued member of the Guadalupanas at St. Mary Mission in Corpus
  Christi; in her leisure time, she enjoyed watching sports and
  playing loteria; and
         WHEREAS, Those who were privileged to share in this treasured
  woman's love and friendship will always remember her with great
  admiration and affection; now, therefore, be it
         RESOLVED, That the House of Representatives of the 88th Texas
  Legislature hereby pay tribute to the life of Trinidad Resendez
  Lopez and extend sincere condolences to the members of her family:
  to her children, Brenda Flores and her husband, Juan Jose, Demetrio
  Lopez, Donato Lopez and his wife, Marcy, Benjamin Lopez and his
  wife, Michelle, Rene Lopez, Rosanna Garcia, and Olga Flores and her
  husband, Tony; to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren; to her
  siblings, Lupita Guerrero, Manuel Resendez, and Servando Resendez;
  and to her other relatives and friends; and, be it further
         RESOLVED, That an official copy of this resolution be
  prepared for her family and that when the Texas House of
  Representatives adjourns this day, it do so in memory of Trinidad
  Lopez.
