BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
SECTION 1. Subchapter B, Chapter 42, Human Resources Code, | ||
is amended by adding Section 42.027 to read as follows: | ||
SEC. 42.027. EMPLOYEE DATABASE. (a) The commission shall | ||
develop and maintain on the commission's Internet website a | ||
searchable database that is publicly accessible and includes the | ||
name of each employee of a child-care facility or registered family | ||
home: | ||
(1) whom the commission has determined to be | ||
responsible for a violation of the minimum standards that leads to | ||
injury or death, or an unsafe environment that could lead to an | ||
injury or death, or any facility, including a family home, | ||
regulated by the commission; or | ||
(2) who has had a license, registration, or other | ||
occupational authorization revoked by a state agency. | ||
(b) The commission shall collaborate with other appropriate | ||
state agencies to determine the most efficient method for | ||
identifying child-care facility or registered family home | ||
employees who have had a license, registration, or other | ||
occupational authorization revoked by a state agency. | ||
SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. |
