| relating to fees collected by the Automobile Burglary and Theft | ||
| Prevention Authority. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 10, Article 4413(37), Revised Statutes, | ||
| is amended by adding Subsection (f) to read as follows: | ||
| (f) An amount equal to at least one-third of the fees | ||
| collected under Subsection (b) in each biennium shall be | ||
| appropriated to the authority for the purposes of this article. | ||
| SECTION 2. Section 10(f), Article 4413(37), Revised | ||
| Statutes, as added by this Act, applies only to a fee collected on | ||
| or after the effective date of this Act. A fee collected before the | ||
| effective date of this Act is governed by the law in effect on the | ||
| date the fee was collected, and the former law is continued in | ||
| effect for that purpose. | ||
| SECTION 3. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
