| relating to the regulation of salvage vehicle dealers. | ||
| BE IT ENACTED BY THE LEGISLATURE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS: | ||
| SECTION 1. Section 2302.101, Occupations Code, is amended | ||
| to read as follows: | ||
| Sec. 2302.101. LICENSE REQUIRED FOR SALVAGE VEHICLE DEALER. | ||
| Unless a person holds a salvage vehicle dealer license issued under | ||
| this chapter or an independent motor vehicle dealer's general | ||
| distinguishing number issued under Chapter 503, Transportation | ||
| Code, the person may not: | ||
| (1) act as a salvage vehicle dealer or rebuilder; or | ||
| (2) store or display a motor vehicle as an agent or | ||
| escrow agent of an insurance company. | ||
| SECTION 2. This Act takes effect September 1, 2019. | ||
