Summary

Makes it unlawful for an employer to rely on the wage history of a prospective employee in considering the employee for employment; rely on the wage history of a prospective employee in determining the employee's wages (with an exception); seek from a prospective employee or any current or former employer the wage history of the employee (with an exception); or discharge or retaliate against any employee or prospective employee because that employee is opposed to any act or practice made unlawful by this bill, or has taken an action for which discrimination is forbidden.
