Summary

Open and Transparent Smithsonian Act of 2016 This bill applies to the Smithsonian Institution the requirements of the Freedom of Information Act, the Privacy Act, current law relating to open meetings of government agencies, and the Federal Advisory Committee Act. This Act shall apply to all actions taken by the Board of Regents of the Smithsonian Institution or by any officer or employee, any records created, and any meetings held before, on, or after the enactment of this Act.
