Summary
Prohibits the Department of Defense (DOD), absent a report that addresses specified issues, from spending FY2019 funds to reduce below 1,500 the number of active-duty servicemembers deployed to Syria. Specifically, DOD, the Department of State, and the Office of the Director of National Intelligence must report on issues including U.S. political and military strategies in the region and the potential effects of a withdrawal.
