HOUSE RESOLUTION NO. 530
Celebrating the life of Lewis T. Booker.

Agreed to by the House of Delegates, August 17, 2015

WHEREAS, Lewis T. Booker, a respected veteran and attorney in the City of Richmond, died on April 4, 2015; and

WHEREAS, Lewis Booker attended Richmond City Public Schools and graduated from Thomas Jefferson High School; he earned a bachelor's degree from the University of Richmond, where he served as rector for 11 terms, and a law degree from Harvard University; and

WHEREAS, Lewis Booker honorably served his country with the United States Army in Korea and was later stationed at the Pentagon; and

WHEREAS, after completing his military service, Lewis Booker pursued a long legal career with the firm of Hunton & Williams; and

WHEREAS, Lewis Booker will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by his wife of 58 years, Nancy; children, Lewis, Jr., Frances, Claiborne, and John, and their families; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Lewis T. Booker, a respected veteran and attorney in Richmond; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Lewis T. Booker as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for his memory.
