WHEREAS, Michelle Nunley Thayer, a beloved member of the Washington County community, died on March 19, 2015; and

WHEREAS, a lifelong resident of Washington County, Michelle Thayer graduated from Abingdon High School; and

WHEREAS, Michelle Thayer supported farmers in the Commonwealth and throughout the country as an employee of the United States Department of Agriculture Farm Service Agency for more than two decades; and

WHEREAS, Michelle Thayer enjoyed fellowship and worship with the community as a member of Mt. View United Methodist Church, where she served as a Sunday school teacher and youth coordinator; and

WHEREAS, Michelle Thayer will be fondly remembered and greatly missed by her husband, Kevin; children, Hannah and Tyler; father, Billy; and numerous other family members and friends; now, therefore, be it

RESOLVED, That the House of Delegates hereby note with great sadness the loss of Michelle Nunley Thayer, a beloved member of the Washington County community; and, be it

RESOLVED FURTHER, That the Clerk of the House of Delegates prepare a copy of this resolution for presentation to the family of Michelle Nunley Thayer as an expression of the House of Delegates' respect for her memory.
